Saulgau
This refers to Bad Saulgau in the state of Baden-Württemberg. Dachau KZ blog mentions that the crematorium at Lindau cremated three prisoners from sub-camp Saulgau in 1944, thereby suggesting it was a sub-camp rather than just a Kommando working party. An account by Barbara Bartczak regarding the experiences of her mother, Anelia Zmuda, told to the Australian Red Cross, relates that Anelia endured severe conditions in Saulgau, including beatings by guards and little food. Apparently, Anelia spent seven years in this camp. It seems there was a V1 flying bomb plant nearby, judging by an account relating to Lt Theodore Nielsen on HistoryLink.org, which also mentions concentration camp internees. Interestingly, this account also mentions a member of the SA, Otto Fuhrmann, as commander of a 'resettlement camp' in Saulgau.
A photo (below), accessible via the Ghetto Fighters House Archives, shows a group of Jewish doctors who were prisoners in Saulgau. The photo shows Meir Dworzecki (seated, on the right), Matiasicz (seated, center), Simon Gittelson (seated, on the left), Fried (standing, on the right), and Avraham Weinreb, the picture taken on 22nd June 1945, some time after the liberation of the camp.
