Oberfohring
Dachau KZ Blog is again a really good source for this camp, which was located in the Oberfohring suburb of Munich. Apparently, it was first mentioned by the International Search Service Arolsen on 1st April 1944, in which a former inmate said that he and six other prisoners had been transferred, in Autumn 1944, from Sudelfeld to Oberfohring. The prisoners there worked for Waffen SS and police personnel involved in construction management. The prisoners were put to work cooking and cleaning for SS personnel and Wehrmacht officers who were billeted in a villa. Unfortunately, the exact location of this sub-camp remains unknown. A report published by the staff at Dachau mentions that there were five prisoners in the camp as of 3rd April 1945. They were held in a room in the villa and guarded by a single SS man. The prisoners included Germans, Poles, Russians, French and Belgians and at least three Austrians. The Austrians had been confined because they were Jehovah's Witnesses. Rations were delivered from Dachau and prepared by prisoner Kurt Rupelius. At the end of April 1945, the prisoners were removed to Dachau and from there took part in a 'death march' heading south.
