Fischorn camp was located in Fischorn Castle (Schloss Fischorn) in Austrial. The castle itself can be dated to about 1200 but was renovated following a fire in 1920. The castle was used as a sub-camp of Dachau from 1938 until the end of the war. It was also used to store artwork looted by the Nazi's. In May 1945, Luftwaffe chief Herman Goring was captured on a road near Bruck and held in the castle under the watchful eye of American soldiers.
