I have not been able to trace the exact location of this sub-camp as yet, although some prisoners trying to escape were shot in the location of the present housing estate just north of the marker, by soldiers of the Waffen-SS Bataillon 'Götz von Berlichingen'. It is possible that the castle (Schloss Ellwangen) or its accompanying meadow was where the camp was located, but I can't be certain of this just yet.
