The 1967 German Ministry of Justice List lists this camp under both the name Bayersoien and also Echelsbach. This locates the camp in the region of Echelsbach, near Bad Bayersoien, Schongau County, Upper Bavaria.  According to the Back To Normandy website, subsequently confirmed by information received from the Bundesarchive, a typing error led to a mis-spelling and consequent confusion, within the 1967 list, with another, separate, camp at Eschelbach near Wolnzach. 

Both camps were administered by Dachau.
