The Steepholmers rehearse weekly at "Fork n Ale" (the former Bond's Wine Bar on Walliscote Road, opposite the Odeon Cinema), a new traditional ale house, which opened on 2nd November 2019.

We are still keen to attract new members into the band, so please get in touch if you would like to come along and become a Steepholmer!

(We recommend though that you call us beforehand just to check in - call Robin on 07790 156 486)

Singing shanties properly requires a little effort, which is why we have a musical director, but it's great fun and really rewarding and you don't necessarily need to have a perfect singing voice in order to be able to do it. If you'd like to join us, and don't mind the thought of singing in public to an audience at gigs, we'd really like to hear from you. We say again, don't worry too much about your voice at this stage - it's enthusiasm and willingness to follow the harmonies that we're looking for. If this is something you would be interested in, please either just turn up at one of our practice sessions - Wednesday nights 7-9pm at Bond's Wind Bar, 18 Walliscote Road, Weston-super-Mare, or get in touch.

Contact Robin Whitlock on 07790 156 486 or 01934 420666 or email: Or you can fill in your details in the contact box. You can also contact us through our Facebook page or direct message our Twitter profile.

We look forward to welcoming you aboard!
